Oh, sorry. I thought you were someone else. Come in, come in! My name’s Chris Cantrill and I’m a writer, actor and bad-boy comedian hailing from West Yorkshire. I’ve been twice nominated for ‘Best Show’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as half of the award-winning double act, The Delightful Sausage. I’m also the co-creator and star of hit BBC Radio 4 sitcom, Icklewick FM.
As an actor, I’ve popped up in cool shows like Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared (Channel 4), Avoidance (BBC One) and the BAFTA-winning Alma’s Not Normal (BBC 2). I’ve also written for BBC One, Dave, Channel 4, Cbeebies and CBBC. I’m also the co-editor of the Gilsland Village Magazine, a volunteer role I took on during lockdown which it now looks like I’ll be doing until I’m dead haha.
